MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School starts at the age of 11 in the British System.
When they reach Year 7, pupils move to our custom built Secondary site, just a short distance away from Primary. Years 7 to 9 are known as Key Stage Three and here pupils follow the full range of the Cambridge International Curriculum, taught by our excellent specialist teachers. Subjects include: English, Mathematics, Science, History, French, Art & Design, ICT, Music, Drama, Physical Education and German. In addition, Spanish language and humanities (Cultura Española) are taught according to local Spanish requirements.
Secondary pupils benefit from a range of specialist facilities, including science laboratories, computer suites, art studios and our large Music Room for Music and Drama.
At our Middle school, we believe in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes academic exce lence, personal growth, and social development. We understand that the middle school years are a crucial phase in a student’s life, and we are committed to providing a supportive and enriching experience that will lay a strong foundation for their future endeavours. Communication and collaboration between parents, teachers, and students are key to a thriving educational community. Together, we can ensure that your child receives the support they need to excel academically and personally. Throughout the school year, we have a diverse range of activities, events, and programs planned that will enhance your child’s learning experience and provide opportunities for them to discover their passions and talents. From academic competitions to cultural celebrations, from sports tournaments to community service projects, we aim to provide a well-rounded education that nurtures the whole child.
The Middle School Curriculum promotes the academic, spiritual, cultural, physical and moral development of students; Prepares children for adult life and encourages them to become good citizens – showing excellence, internationality and respect towards others. Allows children to become fluent and proficient users of the English and Spanish languages, whatever their mother tongue is. Promotes high standards of achievement and allows all children to develop to the best of their ability, both personally and academically. Generates high levels of student engagement and enthusiasm and allows students to become confident, secure and independent learners.
