Year 13 chemistry students were asked to complete an investigation to find out the content of iron in medicines used by people with iron-deficiency anaemia. Thus, they worked like real scientists in pharmacy and clinical labs. Also, in that way, they studied the importance of iron for the body, so they saw a cross-curricular link between chemistry and biology. Well done!
