Primary
At 5 years old, the students enter the Primary school at Sage College. The Primary school is made up of two departments: Key Stage 1 (KS1) between 5 and 7 Year old (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) 7 – 11 Years old (Years 3 – 6).
The Key Stages refer to the distinct development stages that a child goes through in their educational journey.
In Key Stage 1 the child is building upon the skills gained in the Early Years classes. In Key Stage 2 they develop their skills and prepare for the Secondary stage.
It is in Primary where they are introduced to the full timetable of British Curriculum subjects. The timetable is made up of 30 hours of subject teaching and 2.5 hours of registration or tutor time.

The students follow a timetable that includes: Mathematics, English, Phonics, ICT, Science, PE including, Music, French, Mandarin, Lengua and Conocimiento del Medio.
During Registration, the students are guided through a programme of Personal Health Social and Citizenship education designed to improve their understanding of what it means to be a fully functioning member of today’s society.
